Design:

The PowerEX 1 is a rectangular shaped Power Bank with a slim profile design, which means it perfect to keep in your bag or pocket while about and about. Its design features two built-in cables and one built-in USB port. The two built-in cables live in the sides of the device. On the right hand side is the normal Micro USB cable for charging most smartphones (Not Apple phones) . Whilst in the left hand side is the full-sized USB cable that you use to charge the Power Bank itself.

The built-in USB port is located on the top edge of the Power Bank and along with the Micro USB cable it uses Bluetek Technology, which is a way of charging certain mobile phones quicker.

On the top of the device when laid down flat is a power button with a series of green L.E.D lights that illuminate in order as the devices charges and de-illuminate as the device loses charge. A great feature that really helps to keep you in the loop on the amount of charge left.

Performance:

From fully charged I was able to use this device two times (per charge) to fill my phone’s battery to full. After that it had a tiny bit of power left to give my phone a slight top up of power. Charging my phone from this device was as quick as charging it from a mains socket in my house. I was overly impressed with the speed on charging in fact. The green L.E.D lights around the power button also helped a lot in keeping track of the devices remaining power. Once fully de charged the Power Bank took roughly four hours to re charge, which is quite fast considering the size of the battery this thing provides.

Overall:

A great product that looks good but keeps it simple at the same time. With a quick charging time to fill the 6000 mAh battery and speeds as quick as a main socket to fully charge your phone, this is a seriously great Power Bank. For only £10.99 (At time of this review), it really is a good choice.
