This case is of the folio design, which is my personal favourite design for a case. The front door flap of the case is patterned with three raised rows with two lines to create a raised look. The back of the case is a combination of the plastic shell that holds the tablet in place and the material used on the front cover of the case. Once the case is opened it reveals a soft microfibre inside to ensure the surface of the tablet remains scratch free. Also upon opening the case, I have noticed a very strong smell of fish, now this probably down to the material used or whatever and will most likely go away on its own over time.
The plastic shell that holds the tablet in place has a rather sturdy feeling and has two magnet catches down the edge to keep the flap door closed securely when the tablet is not in use. There are cutouts in all the right places ensuring no button or port gets obstructed by the case.
The front flap door can be folded in on itself to create a triangular prism shaped stand that holds the shell in an upright but slightly slanted position for watching movies with ease.
The tablet sits great in the case and is really east to insert and remove. I do however have to say you should be careful when getting the tablet out of the case as the lip on the edge is just bare plastic which has already caused a bit of scratching to the Fire 7 I borrowed for this review. I found the case to be very stable when used as a stand to watch movies on the tablet.
A fantastic case for the Fire 7 and at only £9.99 you can’t go wrong at all. It looks good and does a great job at holding the tablet. My only gripe is that smell of fish that greeted me, although this will most likely disappear on its own.
